Welcome to Libra season, folks. Libra runs from September 23 through October 22. This is a time of balance as we can tell because it begins on the Autumn equinox. Libra is symbolized by the scales and is the only sign not represented by a living symbol.
I’ve often wondered why the American elections weren’t held during Libra season because Libra also encourages justice, social order, cooperations, negotiation and social harmony – all very necessary energies for democratic society.

Libra Overview
Libra is an air sign meaning it is concerned about communication, speaking up and sharing our story. It is also a Cardinal sign. Cardinal signs are the initiators or the leaders that come up with the great ideas and get the ball rolling.

Libra is all about balance, justice, negotiating, harmony and a beautiful aestetic. This sign exhibits artistic characteristics that are refined by grace and charm. We can see this play out in our environment, our personal appearance, and our interactions with others.
As an air sign, Libra see the world through a rational lens rather than intuitive insight. It focuses on fairness both out of love for life and the pleasing aspect of beauty.
Libra is concerned with creating social harmony and the expression of justice. It strives for human connections and healthy relationships. There is a great demand for social order during Libra season as well as a desire for cooperation in human affairs and relations. The tag line for Libra could very well be, “Let’s all get along”
Embracing Libra Season through Action:
1) Find balance.
Slow down in life and in your own schedule. This is not the time to be efficient and get a lot done. This is a time to really appreciate all of our options and choose what our souls need. Focus on your priorities and make a point to enjoy all your activities. Make sure your week includes what you have to do as well as what you want to do.
2) Turn on the charm.
Now is a great time to renew your connection with the important people in your life. Strive to find harmony in your relationships by listening and appreciating your friends, family, and co-workers.
Reach out and connect with people, even if, especially if, they are different from you. Find common ground. Make a point to stay present in your interactions and listen to understand, not to reply. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to clarify your understanding.
3)Make it pretty.
Spend some time every day to tidy and declutter your space. Carry on the Virgo mission but go slower with more focus on personalizing your space to your liking. There are healing powers in beautiful spaces so take the time to appreciate the energy you’ve created.
4) Choose love.
Every day we have a choice to focus on love or focus on fear. Libra season is particularly important to choose love. Justice, fairness and harmony all flirt around the idea of love for humanity and it is our responsibility to embody the ideology and manifest it into reality. Always choose love because when we choose fear… we lose.

Libra’s Mythology
There isn’t much to be found on the mythology of Libra. It is sometimes believed that the Scales of Libra are actually held by the Goddess Astraea of the Virgo constellation. Contradicting that story is another that says the Scales are actually the Scorpions claw, chopped of by the Romans during the autumn equinox.
Sun in Libra
Our Sun sign depicts the traits that we are growing into.
Those lucky people who are born under a Libra sun are charming, friendly and sociable with a strong intellect and a keen mind.
