6 Ways to Enjoy the Sensation of Taurus Season

Taurus Season

Welcome to Taurus Season. Lets all exhale after the high energy month of Aries. As we travel through the year, each of these Zodiac energies will affect our own impulses and actions during their ruling times. My goal is to make the most of the energies every month.

Taurus Season is one of my favorite times of the year. I especially appreciate the Earthy energy.

Taurus is a fixed Earth sign ruled by the planet Venus. It occupies the 2nd house which oversees the sense of worth, belonging and pleasure. It runs from April 21 – May 21.

Overview of Taurus Season

Earth signs are focused on the physical existence. They are concerned about our physical survival as well as our roles and responsibilities in our physical life. Fixed signs take the energy and pulls it inwards, using it as fuel to radiate it out in a precise and focused way.

In other words, Taurus is uniquely capable of using the energy to create a very stable and secure environment.

Every Zodiac sign is connected to and ruled by a planet. Taurus is bound to Venus, named for the Goddess of Love and Beauty. This give the Taurus energy a little opulence. Taurus loves high quality, sensual things. They love good food, soft fabrics, beautiful art and architecture as well as rich, lush landscapes.

Our Taurusian friends aren’t all about the bougie luxury life, though. They are very hard workers and serious about their responsibilities. Most of them do not like insecurity and are particularly against sudden changes. They can also be quite stubborn.

As we look to use the energy this month, the most important thing is to appease the senses. Your five senses are going to feel very important this month. Sight, sound, smell, taste and touch are the epitome of the Taurus Season. Focus on the ones that are important to you and make subtle changes in your everyday routines.

1) Sight

Create Pretty things and pretty spaces. Exercise your creative muscles. You can start small if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Perhaps you could just focus on a corner or a single wall in your home. Rearrange your furniture. Buy or make new throw pillows to brighten your personal space. Paint a picture.
You could bypass the personal space improvements and focus on your personal look. Get your haircut or try a new makeup pallet.

2) Sound

Music soothes the soul. Check out a different genre than you usually listen to. I’m a big fan of celtic music for that ethereal feel and Appalachian folk music when I want to connect to my ancestors. The Renaissance Man filters in a little country and blues to his normal rock genre.
If you’re not feeling the formal musical compositions consider wind chimes or a table fountain. Bring soothing sounds into your environment.

3) Smell

Do not discount the power of a good smell. I’m a big fan of those plug-in room fresheners, however I’m particular about the brand. So many on the market smell too chemical to me. I prefer scents made from essential oils. Scented candles and aromatherapy diffusers are another option.
While you consider what to add, don’t forget to appreciate the smells that are naturally there. Such as, freshly brewing coffee, freshly mowed grass, the jar of basil in your spice cabinet. The possibilities are endless.

4) Taste

I never met a Taurus who didn’t love food. Not just any food but good, wholesome food with deep, rich flavors. Sometimes, I’m jealous because my Taurus friends just seem to enjoy their food a lot more than I do. Take some time to learn to cook something new. The key is to use the highest quality ingredients. Not a cook? Perhaps you’d rather try a different dish from your favorite take out or a new restaurant in general.

5) Touch

Snuggle with decadent fabrics. The lushness of the fabrics today is amazing but soft isn’t the only texture available. You might find natural textures particularly appealing during Taurus season. Walking barefoot on grass is one of my favorites. Stone walls or brick walkways are equally pleasing. Sisal rugs and woven cotton blankets can be fun and appealing. Find you favorite and enjoy it!

6) Garden

Gardening touches on quite a few of the valued traits. It addresses sight, touch, taste and hard work. Taurusians are particularly fond of gardening which is convenient because this is the time of year that Spring is in full growing mode. There’s nothing like getting your hands dirty. Spend some time in a garden. Flowers are beautify but don’t underestimate the importance and satisfaction of growing a vegetable garden.
